statement & resume

Meditation and movement guide me through challenges and are the foundation of my art. Working in a variety of two dimensional media—soap, make-up, and marker—pushes me to explore the sculptural and performative possibilities of these materials. Incorporating the olfactory sense into my painting and sculpture triggers memories and creates an individual experience. I am challenging traditional materials, artmaking, permanence, spontaneity, stillness, and action in my work, while mentally and physically exploring contemporary femininity.
